Alfie - Street vet charity Christmas card

This Christmas card raising funds for StreetVet features a watercolour portrait of Alfie who lives on the street with his houseless owner, and has been treated by Street Vet. Alfie is surrounded by a scattering of gold snowflakes and matching gold text on the front of the Christmas card reads "WIshing you a Merry Christmas".

StreetVet is a registered charity that offers free veterinary care to pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness in the UK and provides all sorts of care from major surgeries to lump inspections and vaccinations, to loving cuddles and warm coats. StreetVet continues to provide support clients for one year after they secure independent accommodation.

Not too long ago Alfie visited the StreetVet team as he appeared to have some discomfort when eating. The Cornwall team gave him a full clinical exam and discovered that Alfie had significant dental disease. They booked Alfie into a local vet practice for a dental, where he had two teeth extracted, the rest were descaled and polished. Thanks to StreetVet dogs like Alfie can access vital medical care.

All pets supported by StreetVet must satisfy strict eligibility criteria. At the time of commissioning this artwork the pet featured qualified for StreetVet support.
