We know that when you’re choosing the perfect card or gift, you might have a few questions. Here are some of the things we’re most often asked at Nickery Nook. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’re always happy to help.

Where is Nickery Nook based?

You’ll find us in the heart of Bedale, on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. In 2016 we moved across the road into our larger premises in the former HSBC bank building, giving us even more space to showcase our wonderful range of cards, gifts and clothing.

Do you sell online as well as in store?

Yes, we do. After nearly 25 years of serving our local community, we’ve expanded online so customers across the UK can enjoy our carefully chosen cards and gifts too. You can browse and shop from the comfort of your home, with the same quality and care you’d expect in store.

How long have you been in business?

Nickery Nook has been serving the Bedale community for 30 years.

What makes your cards different?

We stock cards with something extra, including pop up designs, Message in a Bottle cards, lenticular cards and rare caption combinations such as relationship plus age.

Can you send a card directly to someone for me?

Yes. Simply add your chosen card to your basket, enter the recipient’s address at checkout and write your greeting in the notes box. We will print your message inside the card and send it directly. We never include the invoice.

What children’s brands do you stock?

We stock Jellycat soft toys, Depesche Top Model and Dino World gifts, Tractor Ted products and Ziggle baby accessories.

Do you sell helium balloons?

Yes, helium balloons are available in store only.

Do you sell clothing?

We currently stock a small selection of Old Guys Rule clothing.

Can I return or exchange an item?

If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, please get in touch as soon as possible. We’ll always do our best to help. For online orders, full details of our returns policy can be found on our website, or you can contact us directly for friendly advice.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

We’re always happy to help make your gift extra special. If you’d like gift wrapping, please ask in store or check the options available when ordering online.
