At Nickery Nook we've just had a huge refresh of cards, bringing in lots of new lines and expanding on some classics. So over the next few blog posts we thought we'd show off some of our favourites. First of all is an expansion to the hilarious Fred range by cartoonist Rupert Fawcett. In addition to a larger range of Fred cards, we now also have Penelope's card range too. Since his first appearance in Midweek in 1989, Rupert Fawcett's Fred and his wife Penelope have delighted and amused us with their take on marriage, diy and, more recently, life in lockdown. Though Nickery Nook is currently closed for browsing and in-store purchases we do offer a local Click and Collect option for free. If you are local to Bedale and happy to collect your order rather than wait for the post, simply choose "Local Pickup" during the checkout process and tell us in the order notes when you would like to collect your order. Click and Collection availability is between 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday and between 10am and 1pm on Saturdays. Left over scraps of wrapping paper or sheets left over from previous years - what do you do with them? While many festive wrapping papers are now fully or partly recyclable, it’s even better for the environment if these can be reused before being recycled. With non-essential shops having been locked-down throughout November, the December Christmas rush has been busier than ever so we were in danger of feeling a little overwhelmed. Fortunately this week we got some unexpected help packing up online orders from the Chancellor himself Rishi Sunak! On Small Business Saturday we just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has shopped with us in person or via the website this year. Your support has meant we've been able to keep going as a business and end this year feeling optimistic about what 2021 will bring.
