Derwentwater - National Trust
This blank card from the National Trust shows a photograph of Derwentwater in Cumbria. Often called the "Queen of the Lakes", Derwentwater has four permanent islands and reputedly one floating island, which sporadically appears towards the end of summer and consists of a mass of vegetable matter that rises to the surface on a cushion of methane gas!
